Journal for Dino Dig 3

(Journal entry for May 22, 2006)
Didn’t have that wonderful a night’s sleep last night—probably because I was on the slopping angle of the ground. Also hurt one of my right ribs a day or so ago and it is somewhat tender. Got up and it was overcast today, but no rain. This morning Dr. Carl Baugh came up with two Porta Potties (men & women) and we talked about the dig and signed release forms for being there. Josiah was giving the responsibility to see that everyone did that. David Lines had some car trouble getting to the site and were delayed in Craig. Ian Juby (a traveling Creation speaker) and Josiah Detwiler (from Akron, Ohio is a director of a Creation Museum there). Burton Stokes (the official site photographer) chatted as we had breakfast this morning. We when up to the dig site this morning and Joe Taylor assigned everyone to work on a section (I was given section F-4). I found some dinosaur bone fragments and put PVA on them. We left the dig site about 12:15 PM for lunch. Today the weather was increasingly overcast with high wind and eventually rain (some very hard rain around 6 PM). The David Lines family (David, wife Linda and university student daughter Chantell) and three teenage girls came in and we helped them set up camp. They had three tents. We decided to go to Massadona to the Cafe there and ate dinner. Dr. Baugh and David Lines showed some photos (via Computer) of new human footprints discovered at the Paluxy River in Texas. Then we returned to the dig site.
(This evening a group of us watched a 1 1/2 hour long DVD of life on the cattle ranch were the dig site is located. A bit long but surprising well done).
